There are mansions all around New York built on FX money. Google George Soros’ Billion Dollar Day. The guy personally made > $1B in one day in FX and then wondered publicly why everyone else didn’t.
It also depends on what you mean by making money in FX. People have been making money for years on the Japanese carry trade. The idea is that you borrow money in Japan at really low interest rates because there are tons of lendable funds in Japan. Because of parity currency at low interest rates is “supposed to” appreciate relative to other currencies but because the Japanese like to keep their money at home it rarely appreciates as much as it is supposed to. Billions and billions have been made on the Japanese carry trade.
Making money in FX trading is actually not very hard if you have enough money to do it. There are general principles that give you currents to ride (like going long stocks is being in a current). For example, govt’s move currency for political reasons but they also don’t want to be too disruptive. That means that currency probably has less volatility than it should and trends moderately well (this used to work better than it does now). Carry trades usually work because a person moving currency from a place where it is not needed to a place where it is needed earns economic rent. And sometimes there are glorious opportunities like in 97 whenthe president of malaysia got on television and complained that his currency was only depreciating because the nasty hedge funds were being mean. Everyone shorted as much ringgit as they could and got rich..
I’m running a live test on the FAP Turbo automated forex trading software using a real money trading account and so far, it’s making money. You can see for yourself at the link below.
The gains aren’t as stellar as the creators of FAP Turbo claim on their marketing page. Still, the trading robot is making consistent, modest profits. I hope it keeps up.
Yes I did but it is in the free demo account. I do not know if that will still be the case when i trade live. As far as I know, demo account are programmed for you to always win in trading no matter how dummy are you so that you will be encouraged to join the real forex trading.
Yes Me… real account… anyone can Challenge me… if i can proof it with real account, just settle the time when, for one week trading, what could you give it to me if i could proof it..??
Yes, there are plenty of people who made money with forex and there also people who don’t make money with forex. It depends on which perspective you are looking at.
