Is there a cheaper way to trade the dollar index?
Is there something in the forex or futures markets that’s a good way to trade the dollar index without having to play DXY, which is pretty expensive to play? What do you suggest?
uup or udn. i’m not sure what you mean cheaper. these are etfs, so you decrease your exposure to tick value based on the # of shares you buy since, dxy, is a future, right?

LikeDislikeThe dollar index was created by a futures market. You are stuck with it.
You could just take positions directly in the currencies through a forex dealer. Maybe just trade the EUR/USD pair. If index is heavily weighted toward European currencies anyway.
