   FXCM by far (currency trading) they are very helpful and offer trading suggestions, news, and insights. And the unique thing about FXCM is they are paid by the spread, and there is no flat trade fee, therefore the fee from the spread is increased when larger trades (hence larger accounts) are made. So in the long run their success depends on yours! Therefore you can be confident in receiving accurate information and excellent advice and support. I traded stocks for several years, then I got bit by the FOREX bug and will never go back. Trading is so much more flexible, more liquidity, and all from a global market that makes the NASDAQ and NYSE look like childs play. With proper leverage management and making small trades with the trend, I have been more profitable this last year with FXCM (dollar AND percent monthly gains) than I was with all the years of stock trading COMBINED.

   Zecco allows you to trade stocks, options, and Forex. Most of the stock and options brokers don’t have Forex trading, and most of the Forex brokers don’t have stock trading. Zecco is a rare breed in this case.

   As a newbie to trading try to concentrate on one asset class first. Of the three you list Stocks is certainly the easiest (stock trading is not easy by any definition, but certainly easier to succeed at than Options or Forex).

   Seriously, no online broker ever rip anyone off because their commissions schedules are all public and available for your consideration before you sign up. As such, the real issue is whether or not you have compared enough brokers to make an educated decision or just listening to singular advises.
