Why do my friends act so odd?
I’m in 8th grade, and all these people my age just get girlfriends and boyfriends and go to movies with friends, stay up late, listen to pop music, and say they are having “fun”, but my idea of “fun” is reading the dictionary while listening to heavy metal music and analyzing stocks and FOREX Bonds at home alone with my cat. What is wrong with people my age?
Jeez, I’ve never heard of such a thing. They are weird. Time for new friends.

People are different from each other and there is no such thing as odd.

LikeDislikeI think that you are just more mature than them. Usually people in my grade are not even mature enough to do stuff like what you do, however there is nothing wrong with that! Your friends just have different hobbies than you, maybe you could even find a group of people that like doing the same things that you do and you can all do that stuff together?

LikeDislikeIt’s probably just that you have very different interests. When I was your age I spent most of my time programming, playing super nintendo and dealing with my O.C.D.
Some people just have different interests than most people, but there’s probably more people like you around your school, they’re just hard to find. (Plus, I often get along with people that are completely different from me).
